It seems 903bhp may not be enough. Ron Dennis – back in charge of McLaren Group as CEO after two years of hands-off frustration – confides that some owners of the P1 hypercar are demanding ‘something a bit more edgy’. Perhaps there’ll be a second chapter in the P1 story; 375 hand-built cars have already sold out to wealthy enthusiasts.

The Subaru BRZ – the Subaru take on the Toyota GT86 – has the potential to be a lot more hardcore than its current setup allows. That has led to much speculation that Subaru will bolt a turbo on to the BRZ’s Boxer engine to produce a BRZ with something closer to the 300bhp we originally expected. In fact, at the end of 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed there would be a turbo version of the engine in the BRZ, although they fell short of actually confirming the BRZ itself would get it as an option, but at the end of 2012 we had a report that the BRZ will get the turbo engine and that it will deliver 280bhp.
The BMW M5 2012 - total photo leak
Actually, it’s not the first time we’ve had a leak of photos of the 2012 BMW M5. Back in April – after a private BMW event to show off the new M5 – we had some photos sneakily snapped by one of the attendees on their mobile, or so it seemed. But this leak of photos of the 2012 BMW M5 is a different kettle of fish altogether - these are low-ish resolution versions of an official set of photos of the new M5.
